Double header steam tour - The West Highlander

With the end of the Jacobite season now over ont the Fort William to Mallaig line, two of the engines returned to their base in Lancashire.

Once again the weather has not been with us as there have been several heavy showers this afternoon.

However there have been enough dry spells to allow some photos.

Argyll & Rannoch Moor

Took a trip up north and ended up on the A82 in Rannoch Moor.

Winter is just around the corner with the streams and bogs begining to ice up.

Snow hasn't started lying yet, but I'm sure it won't be long till the landscape is transformed into a white wilderness.

Waverley's final sail of the season

PS Waverley came back to the Clyde this weekend. She was due to cruise on Saturday and Sunday but, due to bad weather, she didn't make it back in time for the Saturday sailing.

Today's passengers had the best weather all week for their trip.

Photo marathon

Today was a little different and made me think of photography from different directions.

I was entered into a photo marathon organised by East Renfrewshire Council.

All I was told was that I would receive 6 text messages an hour apart with the topic for a photograph.

Well, not sure how I got on, but here are my entries.

Most of the local tugs were in action today.

All three Svitzers and two Clyde Marine tugs passed by within about an hour.
