Inverclyde Council Fireworks Display

My first visit to the Council's fireworks display in a few years and it didn't feel like a typical November night.

The weather felt decidedly warmer, drier and calmer than many past displays I have been to.

Using the recent James Bond film, Spectre, as a theme for the show, there were a large proportion of white fireworks in the display.

Overall, I was pleased with the event.

Dumbarton Fireworks Display 2014

Unlike Inverclyde Council who held their fireworks display on a wet Saturday evening, Dumbarton chose to have theirs on Guy Fawkes Night and also had a beautiful calm evening for their display.

I chose to stay on my own side of the river, having a wonderful view of the fireworks as they were launched from near the castle and rock.

Scottish Airshow

With the demise of RAF Leuchars, Scotland lost one of its few airshows.

The hole was filled this year with the revival of the Prestwick Airshow after an absence of 22 years.

The airshow was held over 2 days but I only managed to the free flying display on the Saturday which was held at Low Green in Ayr.

Below are some of the acts who performed at Ayr. More pictures can be viewed in my gallery.
